The Basic Instinct actress of course maintained she was keeping his family in her heart, writing: "My respectful condolences to friends and family."Leonardo, who passed away at age 87, was born in 1935 in Milan, Italy. He grew up in an orphanage in the midst of World War II, after his father died five months before he was born and his mother, once he was seven, pleaded with the orphanage to take care of him.
