Peacock Boards BBC YA Drama ‘Noughts + Crosses’
Peter White Television EditorNoughts + Crosses, the BBC adaptation of Malorie Blackman’s bestselling YA series, is coming to the U.S. after Peacock boarded the drama.The streamer will air the six-part series as a Peacock Original from September 4.Originally commissioned by the British public broadcaster in 2016, the drama launched in the UK in March.From Victoria producer Mammoth Screen, Green Book producer Participant Media and Jay Z’s Roc Nation, the series follows two young people: Sephy, played by newcomer Masali Baduza, and Callum, played by Peaky Blinders’ Jack Rowan, who are divided by their colour but united by love.
