By Ben McNicol Hamilton have continually defied the Premiership survival odds and silenced their critics for a number of years, but after an injury-ravaged campaign, along with other unfortunate Covid issues, this season was just a step too far for Brian Rice’s side to make it an eighth consecutive season of top-flight football. The overall performances over the last few seasons have been soul-destroying, but at their best Accies were a nuisance to play against, and nobody liked coming up against Dougie Imrie and Darian MacKinnon who bulldozed the midfield.
