Scots widower plans to out walk Proclaimers with a 1700 mile hike in memory of wife
grieving husband will try to outdo the Proclaimers by walking 1700 miles in his wife’s memory.Andy Chalmers, 46, has set off on a virtual walk from John O’Groats to Lands End and back to support the Brain Tumour Charity after losing his wife Suez (corr), to the disease two years ago.On the second year anniversary of her death Andy, from Carnock, near Dunfermline, began his virtual walk from the UK mainland’s most northern point.Because of Covid his walk will all be done in his local area and at beauty spots nearby where the couple loved to visit.
