Law enforcement sources tell TMZ the actor was in the restroom at the Monkeypod Kitchen restaurant when a man confronted him and punched him in the face.
During an altercation that followed, Teller threatened to press charges. He and his wife, Keleigh, then quickly left the restaurant.
Sources claim the man was a wedding planner who accused Miles of owing him $60,000 (£42,300) for services he provided at the actor's Maui wedding in 2019.
