Love Island viewers were furious tonight when fan favourite Hugo Hammond was left in tears after accidentally upsetting Faye Winter and Sharon Gaffka.The drama started on the ITV2 show when school teacher Hugo, 24, said he didn’t like “fake” girls, and proceeded to clarify that meant “personalities and looks”.

Faye and Sharon, who have both had breast implants and botox treatments, started simmering with anger straight away, but things got decidedly worse.

Hugo continued to reiterate he didn’t like “fakeness” in women, prompting uproar from the two Islanders. Sharon stormed off to the benches with Rachel Finni for a chat, and Hugo was completely puzzled over what he’d supposedly done wrong.
