As Love Island's 2022 series got under way, the first couple was revealed as Dami and Amber as voted for by the public. Dami Hope and Amber Beckford seemed relatively content with their pairing, with Amber saying: "I mean yeah, why not, I suppose we'll see" with Dami adding: "I'm happy, I'm happy!" And it turns out things are about to heat up between the pair on Wednesday June 8 episode, as they share their first kiss after a chat at the bar.

But for dating expert Lara Besbrode this comes as no surprise, as she tells us the couple are a "good match." She continued to say it helps that Dami "likes to be in a relationship" and that he's able to "show his vulnerable side." And Amber "hates dating apps" and "prefers to meet people in real life." Lara continued: "Both come across as quite laid back and happy to go with the flow.

I think they’ll both give each other the time that’s needed to grow to become a strong couple." It comes as Amber shares her desire to get to know Dami better, after being coupled up since the first day.

Speaking with Dami on Wednesday night's episode, Amber says to him: "Don’t be so serious with me." To which he replies: "Do you think I’m serious?," and Amber says: "Yeah with me a little bit.” They end up having a chat at the bar later than evening, and sparks begin to fly.
