"His last words were, I want to get you back in the ring", Jake Andrews recalls, his voice full of emotion. It was the last conversation he had with his dad, Alan Andrews, who went on to take his own life.

Two years later and Jake has transformed his life, inspired by his dad's final words. The 24-year-old, who works as a bouncer at the Alchemist, is set to launch his professional boxing career in a few weeks time.

Not so long ago he weighed 19 stone, was boozing heavily, and was having suicidal thoughts. But now Jake, who trains at Team Greaves in Oldham, is determined to honour his dad's legacy through sport  - and inspire others with the story of his journey.
