Love Island’s Malin Andersson has told fans she's 'glad' the ITV2 dating show has been shelved because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The former contestant, who appeared in the hit show back in 2016, addressed the news on social media, writing: "Haha Love Island is cancelled.

So glad." And she defended herself after a followers claimed the show had ‘made her.' Malin, a body positivity campaigner and mental health advocate, replied to one follower: "My mum invented me sis." And she replied "no it didn't" after another said "I am a little confused, it gave you your blue tick, followers, platform to do good and money." And she wholeheartedly agreed with a fan who wrote: "Saw some of comments to this, yes it gave her a platform and blue tick
