DAVID Beckham appears to have won a war with his neighbour over plans to ramp up security at their Cotswolds home with a gatehouse for two guards.
One local had insisted the scheme was out of place for the area, lodging an official complaint saying: "Farms and agricultural buildings do not have gatehouses and security huts.” However, the objection has now been removed, clearing the way for David's plan for the Fort Knox-style measures to be built at his farmhouse estate.
The security post would be manned 24 hours a day - even when David and wife Victoria are not in residence at their £6million Cotswolds home.
Paperwork showed the 45-year-old football ace's plan to build a three-room wooden building for guards as well as an underground.
