‘Canada’s Got Talent’ Returns After 10 Years
Manori Ravindran International EditorCanada’s got Drake, Justin Bieber, Carly Rae Jepsen, and now it’s “Got Talent,” too.The global Fremantle format makes its triumphant return after 10 years off air, heading to Rogers Sports & Media-backed channel Citytv for a local adaptation of Simon Cowell’s hit talent show. “Canada’s Got Talent” enjoyed just a single season on Citytv back in 2012, with judges including actor Martin Short, opera singer Measha Brueggergosman and musician Stephan Moccio.The format will make its comeback in partnership with Fremantle and McGillivray Entertainment Media Inc., who are on board as producers.
