Eva Longoria has apologised for undermining the crucial role Black women played in the recent US presidential election, clarifying that she never meant to take credit from the voters who helped to deliver Joe Biden’s victory.During an appearance on MSNBC on Sunday night, the Desperate Housewives star spoke about how women of colour lifted Biden’s bid for the White House, placing special emphasis on the turnout of Latina women. “The women of colour showed up in a big way,” Eva told host Ari Melber. “Of course, you saw in Georgia what Black women have done, but Latina women were the real heroines here.
