Glamis Castle Gardens set to re-open for nature lovers in lockdown
Glamis Castle in Angus will soon be open to Scots once again.The stunning gardens, located just a 20 minutes drive from Dundee, will open for nearby residents om Monday 29 June.Combining history and horticulture, the grounds are popular with plant lovers, families and dog walkers, with the Italian Garden; designed by Countess Cecilia, grandmother and godmother of Queen Elizabeth II particularly enjoyed by visitors. A spokesperson for Glamis said: "A wander through the Walled Garden will reveal fruits and vegetables flourishing alongside Monet-style fountains, and a slice of tranquillity can be savoured on the Nature Trail."There is also an innovative Macbeth Trail which captures the madness, mental turmoil and tempestuous weather of the
