Amazing Ayrshire man ran 100km in one day to give back to Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity
Kilmarnock man who had a kidney removed as a child ran 100 kilometres around his home town in just one day to give back to the Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity.Callum Corbett-Peters, 20, was cared for at Yorkhill Children's Hospital when he was younger with his recent fundraising exploits generating £857 for the leading children's charity.The third-year university student ran 10 laps of 10km starting from Smillie Place and ending at Dundonald Road in 11 hours and 43 minutes.Callum, who is studying sports coaching and development, said: "I was born with an issue with one of my kidneys."For the first couple of years of my life I spent a lot of time at Yorkhill Hospital, and continued to have regular visits as a child.
