Sport understands that United are considering a move for Brooks as an alternative to Jadon Sancho, if a deal with Borussia Dortmund can't be agreed.Sancho is United's top transfer target this summer but the move has been thrown into doubt after sporting director Michael Zorc claimed that the 20-year-old would be staying at the club this summer, though United have not yet given up on the deal.They are, however, earmarking back-up plans if Sancho can't be signed and Brooks is one such option.
