East Ayrshire councillor who collected 30 kilogrammes of dog poo on one single path is on a mission to stamp out the problem.Councillor Sally Cogley has launched a campaign using hard-hitting posters to encourage people to report offenders who don’t pick up their pet’s mess.The Rubbish Party politician and volunteers cleared a huge 30 kilogrammes of mess from Bowling Green Lane beside the River Irvine in Galston during a single day in March.Councillor Cogley has decided to take action after hearing concerns from people in the area.The anti-dog poo posters have been put up in Galston, Newmilns and Darvel.“The posters are hard-hitting and very unpleasant but effective at getting the message home,” she said.
