ITV cancels Good Morning Britain between Christmas and New Year amid Covid-19 fears

Good Morning Britain's episodes between Christmas and New Year have been cancelled amid fears of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

ITV bosses are said to have made the call after concerns among staff and presenters about the pandemic continued to mount.The pre-Christmas episodes of the ITV news show will go ahead, but presenters are said to have been asked to do their own hair and makeup for the show.

A spokeswoman told The Sun: "There is a special GMB Christmas Day show which airs from 7-9am. "GMB was due to be on air from Weds 29th - Fri 31st December 2021 but due to the pandemic and to protect our teams, we have decided to give them an extended break.
