Dancing on Ice has been criticised for “overwhelming” the NHS in the midst of a pandemic. The ITV skating show has seen a number of skaters from the show being rushed to A&E.

Denise van Outen, who dislocated her shoulder in rehearsals recently, Yebin Mok, whose leg was accidentally sliced open by Graham Bell, and Andy Buchanan, who’s face was accidentally slashed open by Rebekah Vardy, all visited hospital with Dancing On Ice-related injuries after being seen by on-site DOI medics.

And as the show returned to ITV on Sunday 17 January in a bid to cheer up the British public, some viewers couldn’t help but question if it was appropriate to be putting people at risk of injury and overcrowding the NHS.
