Dame Barbara Windsor's devastated husband Scott Mitchell says he is "completely overwhelmed" after fans raised £100,000 in her honour within days.
A fundraising page for the late star saw the donations pour in and six figures was quickly collected.The total is already heading for £110,000 and every penny is heading to Alzheimer's Research UK.The soap legend died on December 10 aged 83 after a brave battle with Alzheimer's disease.
Scott he's been blown away by the support from Dame Barbara's fans all over the world and hopes people continue to dig deep.The EastEnders icon went public with her dementia battle in 2018 and together the couple drew attention to the importance of the cruel illness.
