Abbie, 23, was left with third degree burns after setting a rope on fire in an attempt to turn a wine bottle into a vase, with her hair and clothes being set alight instead.
Since the incident, which occurred seven weeks ago, she has endured a skin graft and 20 trips to hospital. Her former Strictly Come Dancing star boyfriend has now opened up on the terrifying moment, admitting "seconds felt like hours" as he watched Abbie set herself alight.
