Convicted killer attacked Perth woman and threatened to get axe after argument over smoking
Perth businesswoman fled from her home - “in fear for her life” - after her partner, a convicted murderer, attacked her in a drunken rage and threatened to get an axe. Fifty-six-year-old Scott Stewart, jailed for life in 2008 for a domestically-aggravated knife killing, argued with Kay Smart about having to go outside for a smoke.They had been drinking cider and prosecco that evening at her North Muirton home - and he continued consuming alcohol while she went to bed.He was still awake in the lounge, apparently drunk and still drinking, when she got up at 7am the next morning.She does not smoke and an argument ensued about him having to go outside for a cigarette.
