Peabody Awards: ‘Small Axe,’ ‘Ted Lasso,’ ‘I May Destroy You’ Round Out Peabody Awards Winners
In the journalism section, “PBS NewsHour” anchor Judy Woodruff was named the first-ever recipient of the Peabody Award for Journalistic Integrity, with “PBS NewsHour” also receiving two Peabodys for their work covering the COVID-19 pandemic and migrant caravans in Central America. Coverage of the Black Lives Matter protests was also honored, with The Washington Post receiving an award for its podcast “The Life of George Floyd” and ABC News receiving one for the “20/20” special report “Say Her Name: Breonna Taylor.” In all, 30 honorees in film, television, radio and podcasts were named from a field of 60 nominees and over 1,300 entrants.
