Gartcairn chairman Martin Peacock is hoping blockbuster signings Gary Harkins and Steven Saunders can bring the Conference B title to MTC Park.It has been an eye-catching summer at the Airdrie outfit as they enticed the former Dundee and Partick Thistle star Harkins and Scotland cap Saunders to the seventh tier.Peacock, who is taking over from Alex McDowell after he stood down to take up a role with the Scottish Juniors, has set the bar high for boss Willie Kinniburgh after having the “honour” of taking on the top job.Former secretary Peacock believes this is the best squad he has seen at the club ahead of the new West of Scotland League era. “The most exciting thing for us is seeing the product in games,” he told .
