The MTV Video Music Awards are a fan favourite and this year’s awards were full of plenty of surprises, drama and incredible performances from artists such as Fergie, Eminem and Snoop Dogg.The 2022 MTV VMAs, which took place at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, kicked off with a red carpet that was a homage to some of the dramatic looks A-listers could muster up.The 39th annual ceremony dedicated to the pop world opened with a red carpet and we round up the best – and most daring looks – including Lizzo’s “curtain dress” and Lil Nas’ Little Mermaid inspired ensemble… Avril Lavigne Avril Lavigne kept her Versace look relatively low key – but her hair was unmissable.The singer, 37, rocked an all black number of a jumper and cargo pants with a quirky belt. She stuck to her punk look with her long hair alternating between the bright shades of orange and blonde and kept her trademarked kohl-ed up eyes on show.
