A man has been charged after police scrambled to reports of someone with a gun in a residential street
Bolton, amid reports of a man with a gun at around 9.30pm on Friday.A 35-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of possessing an imitation firearm with the intent to cause fear.A 22-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of obstructing police, though he has since been released with no further action. The next day, Levi Todd, 35, was charged with with possessing an imitation firearm with the intent to cause fear and was remanded in police custody.On Monday morning (June 22), he was hauled before Wigan and Leigh Magistrates Court and pleaded not guilty to the charges.Mr Todd, of Newby Road in Breightmet, has now been remanded to prison until July 20, when he will appear before Bolton Crown Court.
