Join thousands of others who have signed up to our Record Sport newsletter.The ladies’ handicap showdown at King James VI Golf Club followed a similar theme to finals day the week prior - a wonderful spectacle played in the right manner.It was Linda Gray who was crowned winner after playing out a closely-fought match against Lesley Findlay on Saturday past.A terrific birdie putt closed out the tie and was further evidence of the high standard of golf that had been on show.This is a promising time for ladies’ golf at the Island and the club has recently signed up to the Women in Golf Charter, which supports initiatives to promote the game.Led by long-time club member and former
