Kathryn Busby Named President of Original Programming at Starz
Starz has named Kathryn Busby as its new president of original programming.Busby replaces Christina Davis, who left the job back in June.Busby comes over from Sony Pictures Television, where she led TriStar Television. Prior to joining Sony Pictures Television, Busby served as vice president, original programming for TBS, where she partnered with Franklin Leonard, creator of “The Blacklist,” to create a joint initiative to identify diverse new writing talent for blind script deals and staffing consideration.“Kathryn is an incredible well-seasoned executive who has a long-running track record of developing series with unique voices,” Starz president and CEO Jeffrey Hirsch said in a statement.
