Brix Smith has announced her first UK tour with her new band – check out the dates below.The post-punk icon who was a member of The Fall and founder of The Extricated and The Adult Net, will play a headline UK tour later this year with her new band.That band is made up of My Bloody Valentine duo Deb George (bass) and Jen Marco (keyboards and guitar), along with Vas Antoniadou (drums) and Ros Cairney (guitar) from rising London duo deux furieuses.Speaking about the upcoming tour with her all-female supergroup, Smith said: “I’m so excited to be playing these iconic intimate club shows in October with my amazing supergroup of phenomenal women players.“Come feel the power, noise, energy and love. We will take you on a full spectrum ride.” Smith’s new band played their first major show as guests to Killing Joke before embarking upon a nationwide tour with Public Image Ltd.

Brix Smith has announced details of a UK summer headline tour with her new band ‘The All Female Super Group’.The post-punk icon, who was a member of The Fall and others, founded her new band last year for a debut UK tour, and will head back out on the road this summer.“I’m going on tour,” Smith said in a statement. The All Female Super Group and I are hitting the road from May for our ‘Valley Of The Dolls’ UK tour.

Brix Smith has posted three new songs from her forthcoming solo album ‘Valley Of The Dolls’.The post-punk icon, who was a member of The Fall and founder of The Extricated as well as The Adult Net, has also set a date for the album’s release: March 10 via Republic of Music.Smith’s band comprises My Bloody Valentine duo Deb George (bass) and Jen Marco (keyboards and guitar), along with Vas Antoniadou (drums) and Ros Cairney (guitar) from rising London duo Deux Furieuses.The tracks she has shared, which you can listen to below, include ‘Fast Net’, ‘Aphrodite’ and ‘California Smile’.Smith previously said of the album: “During lockdown I was put together by a manager to write. I wanted to stop doing The Extricated, I wanted to do something else, I didn’t know what.“I was put together as a songwriter with Youth. His manager said, ‘Youth is a Shaman and you’re a witch so you two are perfect together’.

Brix Smith was at the BandLab NME Awards 2022 to accept the Music Moment Of The Year award on behalf of Liam Gallagher for his “absolutely fantastic” free gig for NHS workers.The Fall legend was speaking to NME in the winner’s room after accepting the award for Gallagher, who was unable to attend the ceremony at the O2 Academy Brixton.Gallagher, Smith revealed, DJed her wedding in Italy 22 years ago with Alan McGee as a wedding present.“I’m a big fan of his,” Smith said of Gallagher. “I’ve known him for a long time and what he did for the NHS was absolutely fantastic.“With the years that we’ve been through, the last two years and what’s going on now, there’s definitely one thing that will keep us united and uplift us, and that’s music,” she said.Smith added: “Music can help us get through anything, it really really can. So what he did for the NHS and the care workers was an amazing thing and I hope to continue doing things with my music to get us through these hard times ahead of us now.”Smith also talked about her upcoming solo album ‘Valley Of The Dolls’ and the “all-female supergroup” she formed, featuring members of My Bloody Valentine (Deb Googe on bass and Jen Marco on keys and guitar) and Deux Furieuses.
