Man found dead days after he sent dad snap which 'petrified him'
Ireland with his family and chose to stay and explore when they flew back to Manchester, reports Liverpool Echo.During his extended trip, Kieran decided to climb Mweelrea Mountain in County Mayo, where he posed for a selfie at the very top.It showed Kieran pointing to a mound of stones, surrounded by low level fog.The photograph, which he sent to his father at the summit, would turn out to be his last.His body was discovered three days later following a frantic search.Kieran's devastated sister, Bernadette Halliwell, said the family instantly feared for his safety upon seeing the image.She said: “My dad was petrified because it was very misty.“He worked for GMP for nearly 40 years so he is well aware of dangerous situations.
