Luxury Arran glamping campsite plan near historic oceanfront caves
Ayrshire island is the subject of an ambitious proposal that's aiming to provide an opportunity for businesses to transform their fortunes following on from a tough 12 months in the grip of the coronavirus pandemic.The business - Kings Cave Glamping - will be based near Machrie on the west of the island and is fronted by Angus Smith.The site, based at farmland on Tormore Cottage, would be designed for touring motorhomes, campervans and small touring caravans but not tents.And the site for the new venture would be based — as the name suggests — near the King's Cave, an oceanfront cave in which Robert the Bruce is said to have had his famed encounter with a spider.A total of 22 hard standing pitches would be created, all fully serviced with
