Larkhall dad caught with petrol bomb jailed for 16 months
Get the stories that matter to you sent straight to your inbox with our daily newsletter.A man caught with a petrol bomb that contained nails has been jailed for 16 months.The device was seized by police who raced to Alexander Gibb’s Larkhall home after reports that shots were being fired from a window.Hamilton Sheriff Court heard this week that he gave no good reason for being in possession of the petrol bomb and an air rifle.Gibb, 23, appeared from custody via videolink and admitted an offence under the Explosive Substances Act.He also admitted having an air rifle without a certificate at his home in Nairn Street on July 31.Jennifer McLaren, prosecuting, said police got an anonymous call shortly after 6pm.
