Strathclyde Demolition Cup: Kilwinning Rangers and Bonnyton given fresh route into Scottish Cup as only Ayrshire sides in new competition
Kilwinning Rangers and Bonnyton Thistle have been handed a fresh route into the senior Scottish Cup - thanks to the launch of a new 18-team tournament.The Strathclyde Demolition Cup is for non-licensed West of Scotland clubs - who are not members of the SJFA - with a potential Scottish Cup place up for grabs for the winner.The Buffs, who relinquished their SJFA status last year, and Bonnyton are the only Ayrshire sides who meet the entry criteria.The winners of the competition will receive an entry slot into a play-off between the winners of the East of Scotland’s Alex Jack cup and the South of Scotland’s Alba Cup.And whoever comes out on top will be rewarded with a place in the following season's Scottish Cup.Kilwinning will be among the
