Join thousands of others who have signed up to the weekly Scotland Now newsletter for the latest Scottish heritage and culture news.Plans have been unveiled for a brand new whisky hotel that comes complete with a whisky fountain and free dram on check-in.The $35m 134-room hotel will be an ode to the famous Scottish and American spirit and is set to open in LA in 2022.Famous entrepreneur and restaurateur Adolfo Suaya announced the project, which he is calling the Whisky Hotel.The boutique hotel will reportedly feature whisk(e)y-filled minibars, whisky 'sommeliers' and a whisk(e)y fountain in the lobby.Guests arriving will get a complimentary dram of whisky when they check in at the seven story hotel, and enjoy a greenhouse-style rooftop
