Former Coronation Street star Denise Welch has shared an emotional Instagram post after she visited the hospital where her son Louis was treated as a baby, and reconnected with the nurse who cared for him more than 20 years ago.

Denise, who is best known for her feisty appearances on daytime chat show Loose Women, showed her softer side as she and Louis visited Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool.
