Medical expert says Scots schools should stay closed to help stop virus spreading
Get the stories that matter to you sent straight to your inbox with our daily newsletter.A top medical expert has spoken on the five key factors she believes that Scotland must consider to help stop the spread of the virus - including extending school closures.Professor Devi Sridhar, who is Professor & Chair of Global Public Health at the University of Edinburgh’s Medical School, revealed the measures she believes will help to lessen the pressure on the NHS.These include getting the vaccine out across Scotland as quickly as possible, mass testing while supporting those forced to isolate, and closing schools for an extended period.Speaking about the new strain of the virus on BBC Radio 4 Today, Dr Sridhar stated that the worry is that "more
