Liam Gallagher
William John Paul Gallagher (born 21 September 1972) is an English singer and songwriter. He rose to fame as the lead singer of the rock band Oasis in the 1990s and 2000s, and later fronted the rock band Beady Eye in the early 2010s, before beginning a solo career after the dissolution of both bands. One of the most recognisable figures in British music, he is noted for his outspoken and abrasive manner; penchant for wearing parkas; distinctive singing style, in which he elongates vowels; and signature stance on stage, which consists of him holding his arms behind his back and singing up into a downward-facing microphone.

Neil Diamond has penned a new version of Sweet Caroline to encourage the public to wash their hands and follow social distancing advice.

The 79-year-old singer-songwriter shared a video to Twitter of himself singing the amended edition of his 1969 hit – featuring the lyrics: “Hands, washing hands, reaching out, don’t touch me, I won’t touch you.” Diamond’s singing, as he sat with his dog in front of a fire at home, proved a huge hit online and has been viewed over a million times since posting on Sunday morning.

It comes after Liam Gallagher reworked Oasis songs on Saturday to encourage the public to keep up their hygiene in response to the Covid-19 outbreak.
