The pair continued to fuel speculation as he tenderly nuzzled her on the head while they spoke to host Claudia Winkleman on tonight's results show.
They were delighted that viewers had voted them through to next week's show - particularly after receiving lower than usual scores from the judges last night.
The 43-year-old GMB presenter appeared emotional as she spoke about her new-found confidence, turning to 30-year-old Giovanni as she said: "I just feel like things have changed, they've changed haven't they?" The hunky Italian pulled her in for a cuddle as he gently nuzzled her hair.
