Inquest opens into Steven McMyler found dead in Wigan church gardens
An inquest has opened into the death of Steven McMyler, who was found dead in the gardens of Wigan Parish Church.The 34-year-old died following an incident on Thursday, August 6, and a hearing looking at the circumstances around his death was launched today (Thursday) at Bolton Coroners Court.Coroner Timothy Brennand heard that Mr McMyler was a joiner who had lived in the Marsh Green area of Wigan.The medical cause of his death was given as "head injuries".Speaking at the opening of the inquest, police coroners officer Neil McAffery explained that Mr McMyler had been found outside the church by two people who were walking by.He said: "On August 6 Mr McMyler was found by two passersby on the floor of the church gardens unconscious."It was
