The former One Direction star, who won the prestigious Album of the Year gong at this year’s MTV VMA ceremony, was rumoured to have purchased a lavish home that once featured on Grand Designs. The seafront mansion comes with a bit of history, with reconstruction efforts that caused millions of debt and a marriage break-up for its owner leading to it being dubbed the ‘saddest ever episode.
