Greenock pub that defied a Government order to close as coronavirus swept across Scotland has lost his licence. Ian Ellis was stripped of his licence yesterday after taking the reins at Cheers pub.The boozer in Inverclyde chose to keep doors open despite being told by the UK and Scottish Governments to close on March 20.Police swooped on an alleged brawl outside the pub on Saturday, March 21.
