Grammy Awards ceremony – which took place over the weekend – Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea has shared an anecdote about once misplacing his own, only to find that his daughter had repurposed it as a gardening tool.Flea won his first Grammy in 1993, taking home the gong for Best Hard Rock Performance for the Chili Peppers’ smash-hit single ‘Give It Away’. His first child, daughter Clara Balzary, was five years old at the time, and evidently took more of an interest in his accolades than he did; in a new interview with LA radio station KROQ, Flea joked that he while he was “grateful to win” his Grammy, it ultimately went on to become a plaything for Clara.“Grammys are awesome,” he said, “but after we won our first Grammy, like three years later, my mom said, ‘Michael, where’s your Grammy?’, and I was like, ‘I don’t know, mom, I put it somewhere.’“Months after that, my gardener came out of the backyard, in the garden, and you know how the Grammy looks like an old record player with the horn on it? My daughter had unscrewed it and was using it as a shovel for the garden.

Kim Gordon has announced her second solo LP ‘The Collective’ and has shared its lead single ‘Bye Bye’.The track sees Gordon hauntingly recite a packing list alongside a dark, trap beat and squealing synths. It is the first song to be shared from ‘The Collective’ which is set for release on March 8 via Matador and is available to pre-order and pre-save here.Directed by filmmaker Clara Balzary – the daughter of Flea – the track’s accompanying video stars Gordon and Thurston Moore‘s daughter Coco Gordon Moore and sees her sneak out of a house and run away to a motel where she changes her clothes, cuts her hair and dances around. Kim shortly shows up to pick her up in a truck from which Coco jumps out and runs away.‘The Collective’ follows Gordon’s 2019 solo debut ‘No Home Record‘.

Kim Gordon has shared the video for ‘Hungry Baby’, a cut from her 2019 solo debut album ‘No Home Record’ – you can view it below.The clip sees the former Sonic Youth frontwoman’s daughter, Coco Gordon-Moore, star as a home improvement store employee at the end of a long shift.After a man in a car makes a rude comment to Coco and throws a milkshake on the store’s car park, her mother appears as another employee who orders her to “clean up on Aisle 9”.The video, which is directed by Clara Balzary, then sees Coco launch into an angry dance around the car park as she listens to ‘Hungry Baby’ on her headphones.“I came up with the idea for the video after listening to ‘Hungry Baby’ on a 2020 angst-fuelled walk around my suburban neighbourhood,”
