Man appears in court charged with murder after attack outside fish and chip shop
Bolton.Christopher Hardman, 46, died weeks after suffering serious injuries in an assault in Winchester Way, Breightmet, on July 13.Christopher Walton, of Tonge Moor Road, Bolton, was initially charged with attempted murder.The charge was later changed to murder following Mr Hardman's death.He also faces further charges of threatening a person with a blade and robbery.The robbery charges relates to a carjacking, which happened earlier this year and is not connected to the murder.Mr Walton, 23, appeared over video link at Bolton Crown Court this morning (Wednesday, August 12).Wearing a grey t-shirt and a silver necklace, he did not indicate a plea during the brief hearing.The court heard that Mr Hardman's death arose from an argument in
