NHS Ayrshire & Arran's most dedicated healthcare heroes has retired after 43 years of serving the community.Assistant nurse Cathy Little is so well thought of at the health board that she's been dubbed as her colleagues' 'work mammy'.On Friday, the 66-year-old called time on her long career that spans more than four decades and revealed her frustration at not being able to hug dying patients during the coronavirus pandemic.Working in the community, the Galston gran said she loved providing palliative care to the region's sickest people but described the past 13 months as some of the most difficult things she's worked through.She told Ayrshire Live: "I've absolutely loved it.
