Dolly Parton twice declined the Presidential Medal of Freedom: report
Dolly Parton said she was offered the Presidential Medal of Freedom by former President Donald Trump's administration on two separate occasions, but turned both requests down, according to a report. Parton, 75, made the revelation during an interview on "Today with Hoda & Jenna," which will air on Tuesday morning. "I couldn't accept it because my husband was ill and then they asked me again about it and I wouldn't travel because of the COVID," she said. Dolly Parton performs in concert at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tenn on July 31, 2015.
