Great British Bake Off – seventh contestant leaves following dessert week
After an impressive seven weeks in the Great British Bake Off, sadly Saku Chandrasekara has become the latest contestant to leave the Bake Off tent after she failed to impress the judges in dessert week.The 50 year old intelligence analyst from Hertfordshire sadly failed to impress show judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith, during Tuesday night’s episode of the Channel 4 show, which saw the remaining contestants tackle a retro creme caramel signature, a treacle sponge for the technical challenge and a meringue bomb showstopper. After all three rounds, presenter Alison Hammond announced Dan Hunter as this week’s coveted star baker – while presenter Noel Fielding revealed that Sri Lankan-born Saku had unfortunately become the seventh baker to be booted from the competition.
