Kilmarnock author, 73, pledges profits from new book to children's charity
Kilmarnock pensioner is giving all profits made from her second children’s book to a leading kids' charity.Sandra Garland, 73, published her second book while stuck in lockdown.The imaginative author penned Okeye the Noo and has pledged to donate all of the proceeds to STV’s Children’s Appeal.Sandra explained: “You know the Scottish phrase...but I made the main characters as a Noo creature and his name is ‘Okeye’.“He goes on adventures with two boys and they meet a snake who they play snakes and ladders with.“It’s just a lot of fun. There is nothing serious about it at all.
