Duchess Meghan Felt "Unprotected" by the Royal Family Against False Tabloid Stories
Duchess Meghan's lawsuit against the Mail on Sunday continues.A new court filing, obtained by BAZAAR.com, has been provided by the duchess and reveals that a number of articles "caused tremendous emotional distress and damage to her mental health."The Duchess of Sussex's filing also explained that she was "unprotected by the Institution, and prohibited from defending herself" as a senior member of the royal family.Duchess Meghan's lawsuit against Associated Newspapers, the publisher of the Mail on Sunday, is ongoing. The duchess decided to take legal action after the tabloid published a private letter she'd written to her father, Thomas Markle.
