Trainspotting character Begbie to star in Irvine Welsh Christmas story
Christmas story by author Irvine Welsh.The writer has penned a short novel about the Begbie family experiencing “the ultimate nightmare family Christmas”.The Providers focuses on the psychotic character, played by Robert Carlyle in the Trainspotting films, visiting his ill mother in Edinburgh over the festive period after being released from prison.The new tale is part of a collection of three novellas in a book called The Seal Club by Edinburgh-born Welsh and fellow authors Alan Warner and John King.
