Saints snap up shot stopper Jak Alnwick on two year deal
By Kyle GunnSt Mirren have completed the signing of former Rangers goalkeeper Jak Alnwick on a two-year deal.The 27-year-old replaces former No1 Vaclav Hladky after the Czech keeper left the club earlier this month at the end of his contract.Alnwick, who has English Premiership experience with Newcastle United, told the club website: “I’m delighted it could get done so quickly.“I knew straight away after speaking to the gaffer, and hearing the plans he has in place and what he wants to achieve, that it was going to be the right move.“He told me about the ambitions of the football club, the direction it’s going in and to be honest he didn’t need to sell it too much.“Lee Hodson is my best friend and I spoke to him straight away.
