If you’ve always wanted to do jury service but have never been called up, BBC One’s brand new drama Showtrial gives you a juicy court case to get your teeth stuck into.The series – from the makers of Line of Duty and recent hit Vigil – begins as Talitha Campbell (rising star Celine Buckens in her first major TV role), the daughter of a billionaire property developer, is arrested and charged with conspiring to murder her university classmate Hannah Ellis. After Talitha’s arrest, she rejects her father’s help and tells DI Cassidy (Little Boy Blue star Sinéad Keenan) she wants to be represented by the duty solicitor on call, Cleo Roberts (Doctor Who actress Tracy Ifeachor).
